Darcy is a 7-year-old Maltese weighing just 7.5 pounds, and she's ready to find the loving forever home she deserves. After spending her life as a puppy mill mama, Darcy is finally getting the chance to discover what it means to be a cherished family member. She can be a little timid when meeting new people and experiencing new situations, but underneath her shy exterior is an incredibly sweet and gentle girl who wants nothing more than to feel safe and loved. Darcy lives peacefully with other dogs and coexists well with her canine companions. While she's not quite sure how to dog yet, she is slowly learning! Every now and then she'll join in a little playtime with another dog, and it's heartwarming to watch her confidence grow. As you might expect from a dog who spent much of her life living in a kennel, Darcy is not yet potty trained. Her new family will need patience, understanding, and consistency as she learns the routines of living in a home. She's making progress every day and deserves a family willing to help her continue that journey. Darcy is looking for a calm, patient home where she can blossom at her own pace.
