Eddie is a gentle, sweet, and sensitive young Labrador mix looking for a patient and loving forever home. He's approximately 1.5 years old and weighs about 37 lbs. Eddie can be a bit shy and may keep his distance at first, but with kindness and time, he blossoms into a playful, obedient, and affectionate companion. He enjoys walks, is leash-trained, and even bestows sweet kisses once he feels safe. Eddie is sociable and gets along well with other dogs and people of all ages. He was rescued from a difficult situation and deserves a chance to feel secure and loved.
Ideal Home
Eddie would thrive in a calm and understanding environment where he feels secure, as he is sensitive to loud noises like fireworks and thunder. A home with a fenced backyard is preferred. He needs a family with a real intention to rescue a dog, open to understanding the behaviors of street animals, and ideally with experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer. High tolerance and patience for rescued puppies are essential.
Ongoing Health
Eddie has received comprehensive veterinary care, including being spayed/neutered, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and microchipped. He has also tested negative for heartworm and received a 4DX test. He is on monthly preventive protection for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are available.
Training & Support
Eddie is not house-trained. It is important to understand that rescued pets may require an adjustment period and patience to build trust and adapt to new environments. Establishing a routine and clear boundaries will help him feel secure.
