PERCY (also see ETTA)

Meet Percy, a stunning Husky who arrived at the shelter as a stray with his best friend, Etta, on 6/12. Sadly, no one has come to reclaim them. Percy shows signs of a hard life outdoors, including fly-strike damage to his ears, and he is heartworm positive. The good news is that with proper treatment and care, he can go on to live a long, happy, and healthy life. Volunteers describe Percy as sweet, playful, and well-mannered. He happily sits for treats and loves spending time with people. Percy is still young and has so much love to give, he just needs someone willing to give him a chance. Ideal Home

As Percy arrived as a stray, we do not know how he might be with children or other pets. He would likely thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of attention and exercise.

Ongoing Health

Percy is heartworm positive. Please ask shelter staff about fostering-to-adopt while he completes treatment. He is UTD on vaccines and neutered. He will be microchipped upon adoption. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test, and a microchip.

Training & Support

Percy is described as well-mannered and sits for treats. We do not have information on house training. Bringing your current pets to the shelter for a meet and greet is recommended.
