Merle would thrive in a semi-active home where he can be an integral part of the daily rhythm, whether it's running errands or simply being a shadow. While he's been wonderful with children as young as 5, Merle would truly flourish as the center of attention in an only-dog home, where he doesn't have to share his space full-time.
