DOUGAL

Dougal is a wonderful, approximately 2-year-old Sheepadoodle weighing in at a solid 75 lbs. He's a truly laid-back and easy-going fellow who gets along with all the other rescue dogs. In fact, he's so chill that his foster family often forgets he's even around! Dougal isn't a fan of the midday heat, preferring to relax indoors with the air conditioning. However, as the day cools down, he transforms into a playful pup, eager to join his buddies outside for some fun, enjoy his chew treats, and enthusiastically chase squirrels.

Ideal Home

Dougal would love a home with a fully fenced and secure yard where he can safely play and explore. Due to his tendency to pull on the leash, he would do best with a strong handler. He is not a good fit for homes with children under the age of 8.

Ongoing Health

Dougal previously tested positive for heartworms and has completed his treatment according to the American Heartworm Society protocols. We typically see dogs test negative within 4 to 6 months after treatment.

Training & Support

Dougal appears to be well-house trained and leash-trained, though he does pull on the leash and will need continued guidance from a strong handler.
