Arnie

Arnie is a 7-year-old Shih Tzu with a gentle soul and a playful spirit. This handsome boy is looking for a calm home where he can relax, snuggle, and be someone's devoted companion. We think Arnie may have unfortunately experienced some abuse in the past as he will duck sometimes when reached for. He loves toys, car rides, enjoys playing with other dogs, and gets along well with cats too! He's also a smart little guy who already knows how to sit and shake! When playtime is over, his favorite place is curled up next to his person, soaking up all the cuddles he can get.

Ideal Home

Arnie would do best in a home without small children, as he prefers a quieter lifestyle. He doesn't enjoy people getting in his face and appreciates a family that respects his boundaries.

Ongoing Health

Arnie has mild separation anxiety and would thrive with someone who is home more often or where he gets to go out with them. Due to his breed, he will require regular grooming to keep his beautiful coat healthy and comfortable. He also requires a hydrolyzed dry dog food mixed with wet food due to skin allergies to keep him comfortable and happy.

Training & Support

Arnie knows how to sit and shake. He may duck when reached for, suggesting a need for gentle handling and patience.
