Biggie Cheese

Biggie Cheese is a big, strong, happy boy with a goofy and loving personality! He's done wonderfully in playgroups, engaging with other dogs, and has also interacted well with residents in a nursing home setting. He's been around teenagers (15+) and does well, especially when appropriate boundaries are maintained.

Ideal Home

Biggie Cheese would thrive in a home with an experienced adopter who can provide continued training and structure. A secure home setup is important, as he has previously attempted to exit doors or yards. He needs to be fed separately from other animals, especially high-value items.

Training & Support

This smart pup is food and treat motivated, making him eager to learn and engage. He already knows basic commands like sit, down, and paw, and enjoys enrichment activities such as puzzle toys and "find it" games. He seems crate trained and has done well with routine. While he walks well after initial excitement and can be strong on leash, he allows full body handling and does well for baths. He can get mouthy/play bite when excited, so continued work on impulse control and excitement levels would be beneficial. He has shown barrier reactivity in the shelter, which has improved with consistent handling and enrichment, and has also shown some sensitivity/reactivity toward certain men. In-home training support is recommended to help him succeed.
