Dolly Mae

A sweet and gentle mama, Dolly Mae, is about 2 years old and a petite Aussie mix weighing around 26 pounds. She was surrendered with her five puppies because her owners had "too many animals." Sadly, one of her puppies, Socks, did not survive. Dolly Mae and her remaining puppies were at a shelter that wouldn't allow them to be transferred to our care until after an adoption event. While her puppies were adopted quickly, Dolly Mae was left behind. She has now been brought to safety and is decompressing at our trainer's home. She is incredibly sweet, loving, and craves companionship, always ready with hugs and kisses. Though she shows a quiet sadness in her eyes, missing her young puppies, she has her whole life ahead of her.

Ideal Home

Dolly Mae needs a calm and quiet environment where she can rest and heal. A foster home or a foster-to-adopt situation is ideal for her to decompress and receive the love she deserves.

Ongoing Health

Dolly Mae's body has been through a lot. She is currently underweight and needs to reach a healthy weight of 30-35 pounds.

Training & Support

Dolly Mae is very loving and enjoys being by her person's side. She needs a gentle approach as she adjusts to her new life and recovers from her experiences.
