Meet Pepe Le Pew! He is a 9-week-old (estimated DOB March 2026) male Chihuahua/Terrier mix, currently weighing around 3 pounds and expected to grow more. Pepe and his littermates were found abandoned on the streets of Houston, a sad beginning for such a sweet soul. He's the masked bandit of his litter, always on the lookout for a misplaced chew stick to call his own. Despite his small stature, he's packed with love and charm, preferring cozy snuggles and puppy kisses to causing trouble. Pepe is a gentle spirit who adores naps and would much rather cuddle than fight. He's a lover through and through, and it's impossible not to fall for his sweet personality.

Ideal Home

Pepe is looking for a family who understands that he's still learning about the world and is committed to helping him grow into a confident, well-mannered adult. He's brave and social, and we believe he'd do well with children, cats, and other dogs, provided introductions are done appropriately. Because he is so tiny, any resident pets should be gentle and experienced with very small dogs, and all interactions should be supervised. As he's still a puppy, he cannot be left alone for long periods; ideally, someone will be home more often than not to help with his socialization, training, and care. If you work outside the home for more than 4 hours, we would only consider your application if there is another adult in the household available to care for him during the day, and you'll need to provide a detailed puppy care plan in your application. Adopters should be prepared for the mystery of his mixed breed and any surprises that come with a growing puppy.
