Shep

Meet Shep, a dog with a heart of gold! Found abandoned in the Flamingos area of Bucerias, Shep is one of those dogs who immediately feels familiar, calm, gentle, and so grateful to be near people. He clearly once had a home: he knows basic commands, offers his paw for affection, and moves through the world with a quiet confidence. Shep is calm, steady, and loves people. He is also great with other dogs and loves giving his paw. Shep thrives on three legs and gets around beautifully.

Shep came to us with a backleg injury, but our vet confirmed he is perfectly capable and pain-free just as he is.

Application Details:

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• Submit an application at adogsnewlife.org/adopt.
• Approved adopters are matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home.
• During the summer months, it can be challenging to secure Canadian flight angels, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable. Volunteers can help bring dogs to adopters at the border.

Transporation
