BABYBOY

BabyBoy is the kind of dog that’s impossible not to love. At just 2yo, he has everything people love about a Belgian Malinois. He’s smart, athletic, eager to be with his people, and always ready for the next adventure. His favorite thing in the world is fetch. He’ll chase a ball all day if you’ll keep throwing it, and every single time he’ll bring it right back and drop it at your feet. He has the softest, most gentle mouth when accepting his treats, is a dream on leash, knows all his basic commands, loves the water, and approaches life with a ton of joy. It’s obvious BabyBoy was loved and cared for before he came to the shelter. He arrived with a badly broken right front leg but received the medical care he needed. In the end, the leg couldn’t be saved, but BabyBoy never got the memo that he was supposed to slow down. Two days after his amputation, he was running after the ball! He’s adapted so seamlessly to life on three legs that it’s hard to believe he was ever any different. He’s currently happily sharing a kennel with a female Rottweiler, another reminder that he’s taken every change in stride. What volunteers love most about BabyBoy is that he doesn’t dwell on what’s happened to him. He just wakes up every day ready to play, ready to chase a ball, ready to jump in the water, and ready to be someone’s best friend. Whoever ends up with this boy isn’t getting a “tripod.” They’re getting an incredible young Malinois who still has his whole life ahead of him and is more than ready to share it with someone who’ll love him as much as he deserves.
