Chompy

Chompy is a resilient and loving dog who has overcome a lot, including a heartworm diagnosis. He bravely completed treatment and is now negative and ready for his forever home. He's a playful, social, and friendly guy who adores people and loves to be part of the action. Chompy enjoys playtime, showing affection, being near his humans, chewing toys, and receiving attention and praise. He's a strong dog, both physically and in personality, and will thrive with an adopter who can appreciate and manage his energy.

Ideal Home

Chompy would do best with a family who appreciates a strong, playful dog and can continue supporting his training. He enjoys a mix of activity and cuddle time and is ready to welcome a dog who is equal parts silly and sweet. Due to his ongoing training with bite inhibition, a home with older children or a kid-free household is recommended.

Ongoing Health

Chompy has successfully completed heartworm treatment and is now heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Chompy is working hard on improving his bite inhibition and is making great progress. He thrives with structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement. He needs an adopter who can continue to support his training as he learns to manage his enthusiasm and mouthiness.
