Max

Meet Max, a sweet 12-year-old boy who truly deserves a second chance at a happy life. Max came to us after his owner moved away and left him behind. He arrived feeling confused and fearful, with some reactivity around new people and other dogs in the home. For his safety, he's currently in an outdoor kennel, but that's not the life he deserves.

Despite his challenging past, Max has made progress. He bonds deeply once he trusts, and he absolutely adored "his boy." He initially struggled with men but learned to trust and love our husband. With structure and training, Max shows he can be a good dog. He's not beyond help; he just needs someone to teach him.

Ideal Home

Max needs an experienced adopter who understands dog behavior, boundaries, and how to safely continue building trust. He'll thrive in a calm, structured environment with slow introductions. He needs someone willing to give him time and not give up on him. No chaos or inexperienced handling.

Max is a senior dog.

Training & Support

Max had limited socialization and has shown trigger-based behaviors and reactivity, especially around new people and other dogs in the home. He will need ongoing training and patience to continue building his confidence and trust.
