Chance

Chance is a resilient and spirited bulldog who defied the odds! He arrived at our rescue after being found with a breeder who didn't know how to care for him due to his inability to use his back legs. Despite initial veterinary prognoses that he would never walk, Chance's determination, combined with dedicated physical therapy, cold laser treatment, and the use of a wheelchair, led to him "wonky walking" and now racing around the field! He's a classic bulldog with a mind of his own and a big personality to match. Chance is good with most dogs and shows no interest in cats, though he might react if they provoke him.

Ideal Home

Chance would thrive in a home with no or only one or two stairs, as he may need to use a cart again as he gets older. He is not recommended for homes with small children due to his boisterous nature and fixation on them. We do not adopt dogs to renters or to families with children under the age of 5.

Ongoing Health

Chance has overcome significant mobility challenges and is now walking and running. Owners should be aware that he may require a mobility cart again in the future as he ages.

Training & Support

Chance knows the hand signal for "sit" and will perform it for a treat, showing he is motivated by rewards. He is a strong-willed dog, and while he enjoys a good treat, getting him to do anything he doesn't want to do can be a challenge.

Chance is located at our ranch in Windsor, PA. We may be able to arrange transportation for approved adopters.
