Josie Sorrel (Benefactor Dog)

Meet Josie Sorrel! She's a beautiful, athletic, and affectionate 1.5-year-old English Springer Spaniel weighing about 42 pounds. With her stunning brown-and-white coat, expressive eyes, and happy personality, Josie is always ready for an adventure and sure to capture hearts. She was originally purchased from a breeder but was surrendered due to her family's new job preventing them from giving her the time she deserves. Now, Josie is searching for a forever family that can provide her with the active and engaging lifestyle she was bred for. Josie is a loyal and people-oriented dog who wants to be involved in all her family's activities, from hiking and playing fetch to simply relaxing in the backyard.

Ideal Home

Josie would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard and an active family. She's not a good fit for a home with cats, as she enjoys a good chase!

Ongoing Health

Josie is heartworm negative. Take Paws Rescue will have her spayed as part of her adoption.

Training & Support

Josie is intelligent and eager to please, thriving with both physical exercise and mental stimulation. She will flourish with continued training and plenty of opportunities to use her brain and athleticism.

• The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test, and appropriate heartworm treatment. All dogs in our care are kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.

Transporation

Take Paws Rescue is based in New Orleans, saving dogs from high-kill shelters across the South. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized and well cared for.
