Behavior Notes
Staff 6/21/26:
based on notes from the 18th and 20th, switching to evaluate until she can be evaluated.
Per aca 6/20:
No, I did not handle the dog. He snapped at the spray bottle when I tried to slide out the pup cup and was growling, then snatched the cup away. Food aggressive
Staff 6/18/26: Unable to do meet at this time. On approach Kusama was at the back of the kennel with her ears perked and wide eyes. I threw in some cheese which she did eat. I attempted to make a trail for her to come forward which she ignored. I saw some tension around her mouth and I think she was growling, but it was hard to hear over the sound of the kennels. I tried throwing in my leash which she ignored. Someone had to get by so I closed the kennel and Kusama charged forward barking. She then quickly scarfed down the cheese and then turned to charge at me again and bark. I offered some cheese, which she took nicely through the bars. I gave her some cheese and sat with her a minute, then tried to open the kennel and she retreated. When I closed the kennel she charged again. I sat with her until she calmed down and then gave her some cheese to try and end on a good note. Did not move forward with meet due to adopter having a six year old.
Staff 6/16/26: Hard barking when she saw me. Tail straight up with stiff wag. Was dodging the leash. Had finder carry dog to truck, dog growled when i reached to take her from the finder.
