Meet Summit, a truly special boy who is calm yet playful, gentle yet adventurous, and independent enough to relax at your feet but happy to join you on any adventure. Summit has a way of making people fall in love with his sweet nature and the way he looks at you like you're the most important person in the world. He has spent his entire life at the rescue, waiting for a family of his own. Because of this, some aspects of home life may be new to him, such as a television, a staircase, or even his own reflection. However, Summit approaches life with a willingness to learn and a heart full of trust, making up for his lack of experience with loyalty, love, and a genuine desire to be your best friend. He enjoys the company of other dogs and people, and he would make a perfect adventure buddy, hiking partner, couch companion, or best friend. Summit doesn't need a perfect home; he just needs someone to show him what home feels like.

Summit would thrive in a home that understands he may need some time to adjust to new experiences like televisions, staircases, or even mirrors.

Ongoing Health

Summit is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Summit is eligible for a FREE four-week training program through Sublime K9 in Jefferson City to help him settle into his new life.
