ALMOND (SRC#3617) in VA

My name is Almond, and I'm a 3-4 year old Mini Schnauzer weighing about 19 pounds. I have natural ears and a docked tail, and my fur is mostly white with a few hints of chocolate. I've been neutered and microchipped, and I'm up-to-date on all my vaccinations. I'm heartworm negative and ready to find my forever home!

Almond's Story: I came to my foster family because my previous family's life changed, and I wasn't getting the attention I needed. I used to be a very loving companion, and I know I can be again! I'm house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. I even know "sit," "lay down," "go potty," and "go to bed" (which means my crate!). I get along with other dogs and don't mind cats. I do need to go to a home where I can be the cherished companion I am, and it would be best if that home was all-female. I'm confident that with the right love and attention, any past issues will disappear.

Ideal Home

I would thrive in a home where I am the center of attention and considered a beloved family companion. An all-female household would be ideal for me.

Ongoing Health

I am heartworm negative and my vaccinations are up-to-date. I have been neutered and microchipped.

Training & Support

I am house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. I know several basic commands like "sit," "lay down," "go potty," and "go to bed." I may have some initial behavioral concerns due to past experiences, but with consistent positive reinforcement and the attention I deserve, I'm sure to blossom.
