Jafar

Jafar is a lovable, medium-energy Labrador retriever mix, estimated to be 1 year old and weighing 36lbs. He has an incredibly soft coat and an equally gentle heart, with a polite tail wag and a single greeting bark that make him a hit with canine friends. While he can be a bit reserved and overwhelmed by strangers due to not being well-socialized early on, with patience and a calm introduction, he warms up to reveal his affectionate and cuddly personality. He’s fantastic with dogs of all sizes and has a respectful, friendly play style. Because he can get a little mouthy when excited, he’s better suited to a home with older children. Jafar stays close on walks and doesn’t pull, taking in everything around him. He is also potty and crate trained, shares toys well, and has learned to sit on command.

Ideal Home

Jafar would do best in a moderately active home with another friendly, confident dog to help boost his confidence and help him feel brave in new places. He is better suited to a home with older children.

Ongoing Health

Jafar is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. No specific health conditions are noted.

Training & Support

Jafar is potty and crate trained and knows how to sit on command. He can get a little mouthy when excited and may benefit from continued positive reinforcement and guidance to help him build confidence with new people and situations.

Transporation

Jafar is currently in Houston, Texas. He can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up. Transports run every few weeks, and he will be on the next available transport once approved.
