Hi there! My name is Caramel, but some of my favorite people call me Caramella. I'm a delightful blend of Labrador Retriever and Black Mouth Cur, and I'm about as sweet, playful, and cuddly as a puppy can be!
When I first meet new people, I can be a little shy. New experiences can sometimes be a bit overwhelming for me. But with a little patience, some kind words, and gentle scratches, you'll soon see my true, vibrant personality shine through. Once I know you're my friend, I absolutely soak up all the attention! Belly rubs, ear scratches, snuggles, and hearing how adorable I am? Yes, please! I have a heart full of love just waiting to be shared with my forever family. My days are filled with fun – I love carrying toys around, play-wrestling with my brother, exploring everything, and then taking a well-deserved nap. I'm a smart cookie, too! I'm doing great with crate training and often head into my crate on my own when it's naptime or bedtime. I'm also working on my potty manners and am getting pretty good at using my puppy pads. More than anything, I'm looking for a family who will help me build my confidence and show me all the wonderful things life has to offer. In return, I promise to fill your days with puppy kisses, happy tail wags, and endless love. Could I be the missing piece your family has been searching for?

Transportation
Caramel is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee. Pickup locations may vary, including to nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360 and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
