She fought with all her might, healed beautifully, and is now cancer-free, with just a tiny scar to show for her bravery. She's ready to trade her past struggles for a future filled with comfort, love, and a family who cherishes her incredible journey.

Gemma is moderately active and enjoys gentle strolls and soaking up the sun. She gets along well with most dogs, often taking on a confident role in her playgroups and living peacefully with both male and female canine companions.

Ongoing Health

Gemma is cancer-free and her veterinarians recommend a simple cytology swab every 6 months for the next two years as a precautionary measure. TVT rarely returns, and many survivors go on to live long, happy lives.

Transporation

Our rescue is located near Bucerias, Mexico. We facilitate adoptions to the US and Canada, with approved adopters often matched with flight companions traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet your new companion at the airport. During the summer months, if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable, transport may involve flying into the US and meeting at the Peace Arch Park at the border.
