Toby is a delightful 1-year-old French mix, weighing 11 lbs. He's brimming with love, affection, and boundless energy, always ready with a kiss and a wag! Toby thrives on walks, enjoys a good run, and gets along well with other dogs. He has a special fondness for men, and we think you'll adore him too!
Toby's journey to us was not an easy one. He was abandoned and later suffered an injury from a car accident, requiring significant care to recover. Thankfully, he's in good health now, though he sometimes expresses his excitement with bursts of energy. What he truly needs is an active and patient family who can help him channel his zest for life through play, walks, and plenty of love. Toby is affectionate, loyal, and eagerly awaiting his second chance at a forever home.
Ideal Home
We are looking for an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a tall, fenced backyard where Toby can safely explore. Families with a genuine intention to rescue and understand the unique needs and behaviors of street animals will be a perfect fit. Previous experience with dog behavior and training is a plus, or a willingness to hire a trainer to help this intelligent boy thrive.
Ongoing Health
Toby has received a comprehensive health protocol including: spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI vaccines, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchip, 4DX test and certificate, negative heartworm test certificate, and monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection. He also has a health certificate and a vaccine booklet. While he's healthy, it's important to remember that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period and may show anxious bursts of energy.
Training & Support
Toby is not yet house-trained, which is common for rescue dogs. He will need patience and consistency to learn routines and boundaries. Providing a safe, loving environment and establishing a clear routine will help him feel secure. Understanding and patience are crucial as he adjusts to his new home.

Transportation
Toby is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. We offer door-to-door delivery with scheduled trips 3-4 times a year. Our contracted transport company will bring Toby to your home, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey. A transport fee of $400 USD applies. You'll receive real-time updates throughout his journey in a private Facebook Messenger group.
