Meet Gunner, a resilient and loving soul who has overcome a difficult past to become a truly wonderful companion. Found on death row, Gunner's journey began with fear and misunderstanding, but with the help of dedicated individuals, he's blossomed into a sweet, playful, and incredibly affectionate dog. He adores belly rubs, loves to be by your side, and will greet everyone with a big smile and enthusiastic zoomies. Gunner is particularly fond of men and enjoys curling up with his human friends. He's also great with children of all ages. His favorite pastimes include car rides and spending time outdoors, and he’s sure to bring joy and laughter into your home.

Ideal Home

Gunner thrives with strong leadership and structure. He requires a 6-foot privacy fence. Due to his reactivity to other dogs when on leash or behind a barrier, Gunner is not suited for walks or dog parks.

Gunner is a survivor and has come a long way, with dedicated volunteers working with him to overcome past traumas.

Training & Support

Gunner has learned several commands and responds well to positive reinforcement. He is working on his reactivity to other dogs when on leash or behind barriers. With patient introductions and time, he has shown to be friendly with both dogs and cats.
