Dagger is a 6.5-month-old spayed female Retriever/Pit Bull mix, weighing around 40 pounds, and expected to be a large dog when fully grown. She's a playful, affectionate, and confident pup with a distinctive dagger-shaped marking on her neck. Rescued from the woods with her littermates and mother, Wanda, Dagger has grown up in a loving foster home and is now ready to find her forever family. She's known for her sweet "love nibbles" and her curious, adventurous spirit. Dagger is friendly with strangers and enjoys playing with other dogs. She has been around children and done well, but her experience with cats is unknown.
Ideal Home
Dagger is a talented escape artist and will need a secure enclosure. She thrives on continued socialization and we prefer homes with another friendly, well-mannered dog to help mentor her. If you don't have another dog, please provide a detailed plan for continued socialization. Because she is still young, homes where someone isn't routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time are preferred.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are mentioned.
Training & Support
Dagger is potty trained and continues to learn about the world. She will benefit from ongoing positive reinforcement, consistency, and continued leash practice. Continued socialization with new people, places, sounds, and friendly dogs is essential for building lifelong confidence.
