Samba

Hi there! My name is Samba, and I'm a gorgeous cream Shepherd mix looking for my forever family. I'm about 5 years old and have been described as a "shortykins" because of my shorter legs, giving me a medium stature that's perfect if you love the German Shepherd look but prefer a smaller size. I'm a friendly gal with moderate energy and pretty decent manners, though I could use a little obedience refresher to help us bond. My foster mom rescued me from a scary shelter where I was starting to shut down, and now I'm learning all about living in a loving home. I'm house and crate trained and would be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a medium-sized, friendly dog.

Ideal Home

I'd do best in a home with teenage or adult children. I'm also good with large male dogs, but I'm not a fan of cats.

Ongoing Health

All dogs in our rescue are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, and are spayed or neutered.

Training & Support

I would benefit from obedience training, and my foster mom says that using hot dogs or cheese will make me do anything – so training should be a delicious adventure!

I am currently being fostered in Tennessee and am available for transport to the east coast (a transport fee will apply).
