Hi there, I'm Jugs! I'm a handsome 4-year-old Pit Mix with a heart full of love and a brain full of tricks. My friends here say I'm super smart because I pick up new commands really quickly. They're even teaching me "leave it," which is great for when I'm out exploring on my walks and find interesting things to sniff! I can be a bit strong and jumpy when I get excited, but it's just my way of showing you how happy I am.
I absolutely love my chew toys, especially Nylabones, and I'm incredibly treat motivated. Peanut butter bones are my favorite – they keep my busy brain happy! I also enjoy a good game of tug and some roughhousing. My absolute favorite days are when my running buddy comes to visit. Running is so important for me, and I get bored without enough exercise.
I used to be a chained dog, and that experience sometimes makes me a little unsure of other resources or protective of my food around strangers. I'm also leash and kennel reactive, so a calm and controlled introduction to new situations is best.
Ideal Home
I'm looking for a home where I can be your one and only furry friend, as I'm not the best with other dogs, cats, or if I'm unsure about kids. A home that can provide plenty of exercise and mental stimulation will be key to my happiness!

I'm a healthy guy at 4 years old! I'm already neutered and vaccinated.
Training & Support
I'm a smart cookie and learn quickly with positive reinforcement and treats! I can be leash and kennel reactive, so a patient owner who understands how to manage these situations would be wonderful. I also need ongoing guidance with resource guarding, especially around food and when meeting new people.
