Max

Max is a 1-year-old, 10 lb Yorkshire Terrier who is a sweet, lovable boy that takes his time settling into a new space. He adores humans and is very cuddly, always wanting to be near his person. He's also an easygoing guy who loves to nap on the couch with you nearby. Max was surrendered because his previous owner could no longer care for him. He was found matted, dirty, and flea-ridden, likely having spent his young life outdoors. Despite his rough start, Max is quick to forgive and is a fast learner, picking up "sit" very quickly! He's still a bit thin and we're working on getting him to a healthy weight with proper nutrition and love.

Ideal Home

Max would thrive in a home with another confident, kind dog who can show him the ropes of being a dog. He is still getting used to the world outside his backyard, and loud noises can make him jump and tremble.

Max is still underweight and we are working on getting him to a healthy weight through proper nutrition and care.

Training & Support

Max is working on proper potty training, leash walking, and crate training. He doesn't like to be left alone in the crate yet and will bark and whine, but he quiets down if he knows his person is nearby. Once he settles for the night, he sleeps well for 7-8 hours and waits patiently to be released from the crate, learning to wait for his human to open the door.
