Ridge

Ridge is an 8-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who, despite a rough start, has blossomed into a sunny and social pup! He's playful, gregarious, and genuinely happy to be here. Ridge loves people, enjoys the company of other dogs, and is good with cats. He's still a puppy, but he's a large and opinionated one who is growing into a very large and opinionated adult dog. His new family should be prepared for his size and understand the Anatolian Shepherd breed, providing him with clear structure as he matures.

Ridge is full of life and has decided that life is excellent, dogs are fun, people are useful, cats are acceptable, and the Roomba is a demonic floor creature that should not be trusted.

Ideal Home

Because Ridge is young, big, and still learning to navigate the world, we're recommending a home with children over 10 years old. He will also require a fenced yard and is not suited for apartment living or a casual leash-walk-only setup. This is not the breed for someone who underestimates their size or needs. Be prepared for a very large adult dog!

Ongoing Health

Ridge is a healthy young pup with no known ongoing health concerns.

Training & Support

As Ridge is still learning to manage his size and puppy exuberance, consistent guidance and boundaries will be key to his success. He is already a social and friendly boy, well on his way to becoming a wonderful companion. If you have a Roomba, we suggest you help Ridge make peace with its existence!
