Olive

Olive is a sweet, four-year-old German Shepherd Dog who recently found safety with us. She's in a foster home now, and we're giving her all the time and space she needs to decompress and begin to relax. Olive is understandably a bit nervous as she adjusts, but her gentle personality is already shining through. She'll offer a happy tail wag, happily accept belly rubs from those she trusts, and is slowly discovering that she's finally in a place where she can just be a dog. We're taking our time getting to know Olive, so it's too early to tell how she'll do with children, other dogs, or other household companions. We want to give her every opportunity to show us who she is without rushing the process. We believe that with patience, structure, and understanding, Olive will build confidence and learn that her future is bright. We have a feeling that beneath her cautious exterior is an incredibly loyal companion just waiting for the right family to help her shine.
