Nueces

Nueces is a sweet and expressive pup with soulful eyes that show her love, trust, and need for her human family. She stays close and is not a big cuddler, but enjoys being near and occasional belly rubs. She's smart and learns quickly, though she's still working on not jumping for food, responding well to a reminder to sit. Nueces is a protector of her pack, both human and canine, and will bark at strangers but stops immediately after introductions. She's very food-motivated and trains well with treats, responding to a stern voice and the commands "sit" and "gentle" in both English and Spanish. She can hold it all night and tries to eliminate away from her living area, always going in bushes or away from human scent. She has not chewed on things during her foster stay. Nueces has been tested with cats and seems unsure of them, but does not attack.

Nueces would thrive in a home where she can stay close to her human family. She is unsure of cats.

Nueces is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been spayed.

Training & Support

Nueces is learning to not jump for food and responds well to a stern voice. She knows "sit" and "gentle" in English and Spanish. She is not a chewer.
