Meet Zeus!
With a name like Zeus, you might expect a larger-than-life personality and while this handsome boy certainly has the look to match his name, he's actually one of the sweetest, gentlest souls you'll ever meet.
After making the long journey from Mexico to Oregon, Zeus has been taking in his new world one day at a time. Everything about home life is still pretty new to him, but he's handling it all with curiosity, kindness, and a wonderfully easygoing attitude.
Zeus has already impressed everyone he's met. He rides beautifully in the car, walks nicely on leash, handles new places like a champ, and greets new people with a calm, gentle demeanor. Whether he's out exploring town or accompanying you on an adventure, Zeus is happy to go with the flow.
His foster family describes him as a "gentle giant with a puppy heart," and honestly, that's the perfect way to describe him. He's sweet, affectionate, and still discovering all the joys of being a beloved family dog. While he's learning the ropes of house training and settling into indoor life, he's proven to be a smart boy who is eager to learn. In fact, he's already mastered "sit" and is working hard on adding more skills to his resume.
One of Zeus's favorite places right now is his crate, where he feels safe and secure after all the big changes in his life. He's happy to relax, recharge, and watch the world go by before heading back out for his next adventure.
And treats? Zeus has standards. He may politely decline the average snack, but when he finds something he loves, you'll know it. This boy definitely has opinions, and we can't wait to watch more of his personality emerge as he gets comfortable.
Zeus is the kind of dog who feels like an old friend from the moment you meet him. He's sweet without being demanding, gentle without being timid, and has the kind of calm presence that makes every day a little better.
Foster Update 6/26:
Just wanted to give a little update on Zeus, he's learning down quickly (now that I found treats he likes lol) he's been doing great with the kids! Especially my little girl! And he met the cat that hangs around outside a few times and did great with the cat!
