Not only is his personality the absolute best but he's also stinking adorable! I mean, just look at that forever puppy dog face, those soul wrenching sweet eyes of his, and the ears! So floppy and so perfect.
Onyx Baby is believed to be a pittie mix approximately 7 months old and currently weighs 33 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, its always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age.
Ideal Home
Onyx would thrive in a home with a back yard where he can romp around, stretch his legs, play with his toys, and relax in the sun. In all honesty though, he is completely happy being a total couch potato as well. So get ready for lazy Sunday movie marathon snuggles with Onyx because that's what's going to happen. We haven't seen Onyx around kids yet, but we can absolutely test that for you. Based off what we already know about him, we believe he would make a great family dog. He does great with other dogs and would be happiest with another dog in the home. He was also respectful of the resident cat.

Training & Support
Onyx is already so well behaved and according to his foster, already has wonderful house manners too. Onyx comes prepped already knowing a couple of basic commands such as "sit" and is so gentle when he takes treats. He loves treats, is eager to please, and has already proven he's a smart little boy. Onyx is crate trained and is working on his potty training. His foster reports that he has it down for the most part but when left for long hours he does occasionally have an accident.

Onyx is currently in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travel safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area. An $87 surcharge applies for transportation.
