Dougie Mac is a big, goofy, and incredibly happy pittie mix, around 3 years old and weighing 55 lbs. He's the perfect blend of squishy and muscular, ready for any adventure you can dream up. Ideal Home
Dougie Mac is a social butterfly who loves people and adventures. He'd be a fantastic companion for hikes, beach trips, or outings to the brewery or park. He's also a great candidate for a friendly co-host at backyard BBQs. While he enjoys being social, he also appreciates downtime and quiet moments, making him a dog that can truly do it all. He absolutely adores children and is incredibly gentle and loving with them, showing remarkable patience and understanding of their energy and movements. He is also very dog-friendly, playful with his canine companions but respectful of those who prefer not to engage. He met the resident cat, Biggie, appropriately and respectfully. A home with another dog that enjoys both play and relaxation would be ideal, but he is confident and happy enough to thrive without another dog if needed. Dougie would be happiest in a home with a backyard where he can explore, play with his favorite squeaky toys, and indulge his love for water.

Dougie Mac is a rescue dog, and as with any rescue, his exact breed and age are a mystery. He is up-to-date on all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and has been spayed/neutered.
Training & Support
Dougie Mac is a smart cookie who loves treats and is eager to please. He already knows how to sit and responds well to corrections. While he pulls a bit on the leash initially due to excitement, a simple correction guides him to walk like a gentleman. He is potty trained, is working on crate training, and has excellent house manners. His eagerness to learn means he'll excel with any additional training you wish to do.

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters).
