Meet Artie! This 5-year-old Chihuahua, weighing in at a mere 4.5 pounds, is the epitome of a lap dog and takes his job very seriously. He's happiest when he's snuggled up with you, whether it's on your lap, under a blanket on the couch, or following you from room to room. If you're looking for a devoted little shadow with a big heart, Artie is ready to fill that role. He has the most adorable face, a sweet disposition, and a lifetime's worth of love to give. While he gets along with other dogs, it's clear that people are his absolute favorite. If he has to choose between canine companionship or human affection, he'll always choose you!

Ideal Home

Artie would be a wonderful addition to many homes. He would likely do well with older, respectful children who understand how to handle a tiny pup gently. Due to his small size, he's best suited for homes without very young children, as accidental bumps and tumbles can be a concern for such a delicate dog.

Ongoing Health

Artie is vet-checked, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. He will be spayed/neutered prior to transport.

Training & Support

Artie's past is a bit of a mystery, as he was found abandoned with two other small dogs in a park restroom. Now, he's looking for a family who will cherish him forever.

Transporation

Artie is currently located in South Mississippi. We welcome both local and out-of-town adopters. For those further afield, we offer virtual meet-and-greets and can arrange transport to many states in the Northeast. Transport to the city arrives late on a Friday evening at Buc-ee's in Kodak.
