Meet Banano, a 10kg Chihuahua/Terrier mix born in May 2022. This little guy with a big heart was rescued after bravely darting through traffic near CUC University in Ixtapa. Despite his ordeal, Banano has remained the sweetest, most grateful soul. He's ready to find a loving family who will give him the safety and love he deserves.

Banano is a small to medium pup with a gentle personality and so much love to give. He is looking for a family who will keep him safe and cherished.

Ongoing Health

Banano came into care with low platelets and was treated for Ehrlichia and anemia. He's feeling much better now! He is neutered and fully vetted, and ready for his forever home.

Transporation

Banano is currently in Puerto Vallarta. Approved adopters are matched with flight companions traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet your new pup at the airport to welcome them home. It can be challenging to secure Canadian flight companions during May and June, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable. We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border. This remains a great option to keep adoptions moving forward.
