Moxie is a 2-year-old, shy but deeply loving Border Collie mix who is looking for a patient and understanding home. She takes a little time to build trust, but once she does, her bond is lifelong. Moxie is fully potty trained, very smart, and thrives on routine. She enjoys hiking, agility, and paddle boarding, and walks nicely on leash when she feels safe. She can be a bit sensitive to crowds and loud noises, so she'll need a quiet, safe space during fireworks. Moxie is an active dog who needs regular exercise and mental stimulation. She loves toys, especially squeaky ones, and is treat-motivated when comfortable. She has shown great potential in training. Because of her sensitivities, Moxie will require multiple meet-and-greets with potential adopters to ensure a successful forever home. If you are patient, kind, active, and willing to earn her trust, you will gain a best friend that will be yours forever!

Ideal Home

Moxie does best in a quiet home with dog-savvy kids ages 10+ and people who understand fearful dogs. She is polite but independent with other dogs. She may do well with confident, dog-savvy cats, but could chase if they run.
