This spirited, almost seven-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier is a true gem with a brown brindle coat and a charming white chest patch. Hexum is a 74-pound bundle of energy, affection, and a quirky personality that promises endless entertainment. His favorite activities include energetic park romps, intense games of tug-of-war, and savoring a good chew bone. He's a smart boy who has completed formal obedience training and knows commands like "sit," "wait," "leave it," "night night," and "go to your house." Hexum's lively spirit and playful nature make him a joy to be around for anyone ready to embrace his active lifestyle.

Ideal Home

Hexum is looking for a calm and structured home where he can be the sole focus of attention. He would do best in a home without other pets, and where children will not disrupt his established routine.

Ongoing Health

Hexum is currently managing some resource-guarding behaviors. He also experiences separation anxiety, which is being managed with medication.

Training & Support

Hexum has had one incident where he nipped during collar handling due to his resource-guarding behaviors. This highlights his need for a confident and experienced caregiver who understands his boundaries and is committed to positive reinforcement training. Consistency, love, and patience will help him continue to grow. He is not a fan of car rides.
