DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Baby Tara! Hi there! My name is Baby Tara, and I'm on the hunt for my forever family! I'm a sweet Lab/Retriever mix (at least that's our best guess!) who was rescued by the wonderful folks at K-9 Lifesavers from a crowded shelter in Alabama. Now I'm ready to start the next chapter of my life—with a family of my very own!
I'm your typical happy puppy who loves making new friends, playing with toys, and soaking up all the love and attention I can get. While I enjoy puppy playtime, I'm also a very gentle girl with a sweet nature that makes everyone fall in love with me.
Since I'm still young, I'm at the perfect age for training and socialization. That means I'm eager to learn all the important puppy lessons and grow into the amazing companion I'm meant to be. Whether you're looking for a walking buddy, a cuddle partner, or a loyal best friend, I just might be your girl!
I dream of a home filled with love, belly rubs, fun adventures, and cozy naps. In return, I promise plenty of tail wags, puppy kisses, and unconditional love. Could you be the lucky person, couple, or family I've been waiting for? If so, don't wait—apply today and give me the forever home of my dreams!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org
