Smokie

Smokie is a 4-year-old handsome mix of German Shepherd, Husky, Malamute, and Cattle Dog. He's a bit shy when you first meet him, but with a squeaky tennis ball or some tasty treats, you'll have him wrapped around your little finger! Smokie can be a little timid around men and may bark at first, but he warms up with gentle introductions. He absolutely loves a game of fetch, has excellent house manners, and is happily kennel-trained. Smokie has had positive encounters with cats and has met children over 10 and done well. He can be a bit timid in new environments or when meeting new people, but his foster mom has seen him make amazing progress and he just needs a little more practice to build his confidence. He's an energetic pup who loves to run, jump, and play, so a backyard is a must for him!

Ideal Home

Smokie would thrive in a quiet home environment with not too much traffic or noise. His own backyard is essential for him to safely play and explore.

Smokie is a neutered and vaccinated adult dog.

Training & Support

Smokie's new person will need to have patience and be willing to work with him on his social skills. He's made great strides but benefits from continued practice.
