I'm Ryker, an adorable, sweet, and compact love bug ready to bring my mellow vibe to my forever home! I'm a laid-back guy who just wants to have a person or family to hang out with. I'm low-energy and low-maintenance – I need a soft place to nap, some treats, a couple square meals a day, and as many booty scratches as I can get! I came to the Humane Society of York County as a stray and quickly made lots of human friends. I have no idea what my breed is, but I can say for sure that I'm a complete snuggle bug. I'm a short, stout guy, about 35-40 pounds, and my estimated birth date is May 2023.

Ideal Home

Ryker is anxious in unfamiliar places until he feels safe and secure. He would really prefer to be more of a homebody with his forever family, content to nap, watch TV, and hang out with his people. He will happily take a pass on shopping trips or cafe hangouts and wait for you to come back home to him! He gets along well with other dogs who share his calm personality. He doesn't really need a playmate, but he's content sharing his space with other dogs.

Training & Support

Ryker graduated from school at Zoom Room in Fort Mill, where he made huge progress building his confidence in unfamiliar places. He is described as an easy-going and good leash-walker, but can also bust out a great zoomie when the mood strikes him.
