Benny is an 8-month-old, 26-pound cattle dog mix who was rescued from the streets of South Texas. He's learning what it's like to be safe, loved, and part of a family, and he's absolutely blossoming! Benny is an incredibly smart, food-motivated pup who forms deep bonds with those he trusts. Because of his difficult start in life, he can be a little reserved with new people, but with patience and gentle introductions, his confidence continues to grow every day. He is lower-energy than many cattle dog puppies and is happiest when he's learning, solving food puzzles, enjoying a walk, or snuggling with his favorite people. If you're looking for a loyal best friend with a heart full of love and so much potential, Benny is ready to meet you!

Ideal Home

Benny's ideal home is a quieter one with a predictable routine and older children or adults. He would be happy as an only dog or with a calm, playful canine companion.

Ongoing Health

Benny is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and 4DX negative.

Training & Support

Benny is house trained, crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash. He loves car rides!
