Gaia has an incredibly grounding energy, and her quiet lean for affection feels like she's absorbing your stress. She's the type of dog that makes a house feel softer and more peaceful just by being there.

Ideal Home

Gaia would thrive in a home that appreciates her calm and gentle nature. While she's been great with children as young as 7 and has shown respect towards cats, she prefers a peaceful coexistence with other dogs and would likely do best with a similarly easygoing canine companion. She's adaptable and could be happy in an apartment or a home with a backyard.

Gaia is believed to be a Lab/Pittie mix, approximately 3 years old and weighing 76 lbs. As with any rescue, breed and age cannot be guaranteed.

Training & Support

Gaia is crate trained, has excellent house manners, and walks beautifully on a leash. She has medium-to-low energy and is content with love, walks, and quality time with her people. She can be a little shy with new people initially but warms up quickly with gentle reassurance. Gaia bonds deeply with her people and may quietly wait by doors when they leave, hoping for their return.

Transportation

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. This includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real-time. A $87 surcharge applies for transportation.
