FORD

Ford is a handsome hound mix who has overcome a lot to be the happy, well-behaved dog he is today. He spent much of his life as a stray in Tulsa, and when he was rescued, he was in rough shape, underweight, with a significant amount of fur missing, and dealing with heartworm. Ford has been with us for over two years now, and during that time, he's blossomed into a loving companion. We are dedicated to ensuring he finds the perfect forever home, but we're also happy to keep him as a sanctuary dog if that's what's best for him. He is incredibly easy to handle and just needs a human to shower with hugs and affection.

Ideal Home

Ford would do best in a home with no other pets, as he can be reactive to new animals.

Ford has been treated for heartworm, vaccinated, and neutered.

Training & Support

Ford can be quite vocal and may appear intimidating in his kennel or behind a fence, especially if he doesn't know you. However, he has never bitten anyone and doesn't have a mean bone in his body; this is simply a reflection of his past experiences. He is a very well-behaved and easy-to-handle dog and simply requires a loving human to call his own.
