Bess

Meet Bess! This 2-year-old, 19-pound sweetheart came to us from a backyard breeding situation in Louisiana. Bess can be a little shy when you first meet her, but she warms up quickly and her true happy personality shines through once she feels safe and comfortable. She was a wonderful mom to her puppies and even helped co-parent with another foster dog. After all she's been through, Bess is ready for a soft place to land and a loving forever family.

Ideal Home

Bess enjoys comfort and her favorite spots include soft beds and couches. She likes to play in a gentle way and enjoys a good chew bone. While Bess does well with other dogs, she can feel a bit intimidated by large groups or multiple big dogs. In overwhelming situations, she prefers a quiet, calm spot to relax. Bess has longer hair and will need regular grooming.

Ongoing Health

Bess was spayed on July 10th and is heartworm negative. She is up to date on vaccinations and is on monthly preventative medication.

Training & Support

Bess is crate trained and does exceptionally well with it overnight and during the day. She is also leash trained and fantastic on a leash. Bess prefers to go outside for her potty breaks and typically trots right back inside afterward. She is quiet and rarely barks. Bess also eats well in her crate.

Transporation

Bess is currently in New York. She can be transported to you after her spay. Her adoption fee is $500 and covers medical care up to adoption, including vaccinations, spay, microchip, foster care, and transportation from Louisiana to New York.
