Bellona is a 4-month-old Pit Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix with a thoughtful and independent spirit, who is also a bundle of puppy fun! She enjoys playing with her siblings, chasing toys, and snuggling up for naps, but there's a wise observer in her who's eager to learn and ready for new challenges. Bellona loves attention but can also entertain herself, striking a wonderful balance between independence and companionship. She's already mastered "sit" and quickly picked up "paw," "lay down," and "stay," showing her intelligence and attentiveness. She's highly food motivated, making training a joy, and is well on her way to being fully house-trained and crate-trained. Bellona is working on impulse control around meal times and has made great progress in learning to wait patiently for her food. She enjoys interacting with other dogs but is learning that not all dogs want to play. She would benefit from slow, supervised introductions to cats. As an enthusiastic puppy, she's learning to keep all four paws on the ground during greetings, and families with young children should be prepared to reinforce polite manners. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
