About PEDRO

contact foster at robbiesoto0522@gmail.com Pedro arrived at the shelter with significant wounds over his entire body, possibly from being hit by a car, and has been healing at the shelter. He has made a great recovery but needs a foster home to continue healing. -Loyal, smart, attentive, confident, social, gentle -Foster should be careful with his ears as he still has discomfort from ear infection and wound healing, taking him for checkups - Walks well on leash, doesn’t pull. Still has a slight limp as he heals from injuries - Smart and eager to please. Knows “sit” and “spin” - Enjoys being pet especially on his itchy back - Has shown loose positive body language while on leash near other leashed dogs, but has not been dog tested -Likes to play fetch -Affectionate and constantly checks in for pets and attention -Not jumpy -Walks right beside you+ smart and responsive -Takes correction well and wants to please On a trip out of the shelter... -Did a great parallel walk with another dog with loose, playful body language. He wasn’t overly-eager to meet him, but they did a few polite sniffs. He tried to initiate play at one point. -Nonreactive down kennel line and when passing other dog in playyard -Was hesitant at first to get in the car but got the hang of it. Delicately jumped in and out. -Rode nicely in car -Happy to meet new people -Small dog barked at him, and he was interested but didn’t retaliate. -Wasn’t too interested in exploring the backyard, but if I walked around, he would follow me like my shadow -The sprinkler turned on, and he had a blast chomping at the water. At one point, he picked up the hose and ran around with it! -Loved his pup cup and hash brown treat -Feels most comfortable being close to you!
