DIXIE

Dixie is a soon-to-be 9-year-old, 50-pound Pit Bull mix with a heart as sweet as pie and a dash of spunk! She's short in stature but big on love, always ready with a kiss. Dixie absolutely adores going for walks, playing with her toys, and exploring or just relaxing in a fenced yard. She tends to warm up quickly to women and older children. When she gets excited, she does the "zoomies" and makes the cutest little noises! Dixie has been playful with most of the dogs she's met in her foster home, but she would also be perfectly happy being the "one and only" dog in her new home. She has excellent house manners and doesn't need to be crated when left alone.

Dixie came to us after a difficult past where she was kept in a basement for years. Despite this neglectful history, she has emerged as one of the sweetest dogs, ready to bring joy to her forever family. She's already been examined by a veterinarian, received vaccinations, been tested for diseases, had a blood panel run (she's healthy!), been dewormed, spayed, and microchipped.

Ideal Home

Dixie is approved for households with children over the age of 10. She would be okay as the only dog in the home.

Ongoing Health

Dixie is up-to-date on all her medical needs, including vaccinations, deworming, spay, and microchip. She had a recent blood panel which confirmed she is healthy.

Training & Support

Dixie has good house manners and does not require crating when left alone.
