Pio - The Old Soul Pup

Pio is a 56-month-old, 35-lb sweetheart with the soul of an old friend. He was found dumped along a busy highway in Puerto Rico, a place where tragedy struck and some of his siblings were hit by passing cars. Thankfully, this gentle boy survived. Despite his difficult past filled with fear and loss, Pio has never lost his kind heart. For a puppy, Pio is incredibly calm. He has an old soul, content to simply be by your side, soaking up affection and quietly watching the world go by. He's gentle, loving, and has the sweetest way of leaning into you for pets, as if he's making up for all the love he missed. Pio chooses trust, greeting people with a soft, hopeful heart and asking for nothing more than a safe place to belong. He has survived the hardest chapter of his life and is now looking for the easy part—a family to love him, a cozy bed to call his own, and the promise that he'll never have to face the world alone again. He'll reward that kindness with a lifetime of quiet loyalty and unconditional love.
