Rugby Brown is a handsome 4-year-old, 50 lb bundle of energy and affection! He's the ultimate companion, loving nothing more than to snuggle up after a good game of fetch with his favorite squeaky orange frisbee. Rugby is an enthusiastic walker and would be thrilled to be your new adventure buddy. He also enjoys car rides, making every trip an exciting escapade. Rugby has diligently completed basic obedience and confidence-building courses with his foster, really cherishing the special bond that training creates (and, of course, the tasty rewards!). He's been in foster care for a while and is eagerly awaiting his forever family.
Ideal Home
Rugby needs a patient and understanding family committed to helping him build his confidence. He takes his time adjusting to new environments and experiences, so a home that can offer him space and reassurance will allow his true, loving, playful, and snuggly personality to shine. He would do well as the only dog or with a canine friend, particularly a male dog his size or smaller. Rugby is also a friend to small dogs of all ages and needs. He would likely do best in a home with older children. While he enjoys chasing the cats in his foster home, he is not aggressive towards them.

Rugby is a healthy boy with no known ongoing health conditions.
Training & Support
Rugby has a solid foundation in basic obedience thanks to the courses he's completed. His confidence is still growing, so continuing to provide positive reinforcement and allowing him to explore new things at his own pace will be key to his continued success.
