Sweet Pea seems to have skipped the awkward "new kid" phase entirely. While some puppies need time to settle in, figure out the routine, and make friends, Sweet Pea arrived in her foster home, took one look at the new people and six resident dogs, and essentially said, "Perfect, I live here now." Since then, she's been proving just how easy it is to live with and love her.
Estimated to be around 9 months old and looking very much like a Texas Special (aka blend of rescue breed cuteness), she weighs 27 adorable pounds currently. We may not be able to tell you what her breed is for certain, but we do know that she is a wonderfully social, affectionate, easygoing young dog with a gentle nature and a talent for fitting seamlessly into family life. Ideal Home
Sweet Pea is a wonderfully social and affectionate young dog with a gentle nature. She's been a perfect addition to her foster home with six resident dogs and enjoys playing with them. She handles introductions to new dogs beautifully, even those who are rude or pushy, by choosing to walk away. She has spent time around a two-year-old child and did wonderfully, though like many puppies, she may occasionally get excited. Given her playful curiosity with cats, we recommend a home with a dog-savvy cat and ideally another confident dog to help model appropriate behavior.

Sweet Pea is already off to a great start on leash, walking nicely and responding well to guidance. While she is generally gentle, she may occasionally get excited and forget where all four feet belong, as is common with puppies. Additional observations can be done before adoption, and careful introductions are always important.
